Log

The afternoon sun casts a light over the corners of Rithera, appearing as a light blue sky with large, wispy clouds moving about slowly. Granse is as busy as ever, the market place is filled with people chatting and gossiping. The paved road has vendors with carts on each side, conversating amongst each other.

For one explorer, it's a good day to do some shopping. He has a large knapsack over his shoulder as he passes by the people, looking around for a few vendors. "Oooh, this one looks nice." One that catches his interest is a farmer with a few apples, oranges, and other types of fruit within their stand.

Ruidosa La Crima rolls 1d2.

Ruidosa is following Reize along in the afternoon, dressed in her usual manner and wishing the sun would go down sooner. She doesn't melt in the light, but she still despises the sun and she saw enough of it on that dumb flying tree adventure.

She is currently staring into the confines of a crab tank the next stall over, that's fill with crabs, their claws tied up in small twine as she eyes them crawling all over. She goes for her change purse...

E--Empty!? What happened!? Well, why there's a hole in it. She starts bawling there on the spot, in front of the stand.

"Reeeeeeizeeeeey. There was a hole in my purse!" she cries out.

She stops short of shaking Reize, instead bringing her hands to her face.

"This is so stupid!"

Reize had prepared to barter with the vendor for some fruit until he hears the sudden bawling over something.

"B--buh?!" He looks back at Ruidosa, scratching his head. "Oi, Rui, what's wrong?" He looks over at her, then he looks over the purse. "....Err..." He grimaces, walking over to her. "We could do some requests to make some more money later..." He looks at the hole "...I wonder how that could have happened?" He scratches his head, staring.

Ruidosa cries. "That was my ''allowance''." she sniffs. "Now I need to hear it from mom about how irresponsible I am for losing money and now we need to make it back soon before I go back!" she bawls some more. "We better find work soon then, because I also want crabs and you didn't even need to buy them for me this time." she places a hand on Reize's shoulder and shakes.

"Can you get me just onnnne? Please? When you get what you need?" she asks with wide eyes.

Wouldn't she want something like fruit instead, too!? Probably not more than a crab! that's probably for sure!

It's totally Reize's lucky day!

Reize Seatlan rolls 1d20>=12.

It takes a moment for Reize's attention to adjust to the root cause: crab tank.

  ... Ah. Yeah.

Reize knows that he is not getting out of this one. Physically wilting, knowing full well that Ruidosa wants one and it will come out of his pocket. Luckily, Reize will have enough to get some fruit. He gives his partner a smile, nodding. "Alright, we'll get a crab."

The young explorer approaches the vendor. After the exchange of words between the two, the crab is handed over to Reize.

The crab, handed off to the boy, is struggling to loosen the claws. It is ready to strike the boy. Its eyes detect the TRUE PREDATOR, however, as Ruidosa is nearby. It frantically tries to get its pincers freed.

The young boy hands the crab over to Ruidosa. "Oi, here you go."

Ruidosa continues to lament, sniffing. She's gonna need to get that money back. Or have something to show for the money. or tell about later. That she just lost it will be bad. Maybe Tranquila will let her borrow the money and she can repay it later. Surely Yes? (No. No, Tranquila isn't giving over any of her hard earned cash).

She however, perks up when Reize offers the crab over. She takes it and removes the twine carefully from it's claws. it snip snaps at her, but she turns around to be polite. CHOMP. Down the hole it goes as she narfs it and places her hands against her cheeks. "Ohhh it's so delicious...~" she sing songs.

CHOMP.

"OOOoooooo~" she finishes the crab, the rest of it and turns aroud, wiping her face politely with a handkerchief, which she puts away into her sleeve.

"T-thank you, Reize." she blushes intensely.

There is a bit of a grimace, slowly turning his head to avoid watching. After all, he is getting memories of the time that he was a robin. He met betrayal that day.

Once Ruidosa has her moment of peace, he turns back to give her a smile, "You're welcome, Rui." He considers about the purse situation. "We can try to make some more money on the requests before we visit the manor later." He gives her a pat to the back and he approaches the fruit stand. It's a quick purchase for a couple of apples; talk, exchange coin, and receive fruit.

Having a few apples along his arm, he takes a bite. "Mmm." He looks back at Ruidosa. "Oh! I heard that Corrine requested that we visit the headquarters later, so we'll have to grab Anna along the way."

Look, it's not her fault Reize was a robin, which she didn't know about could happen and that Reize was also delicious and bite sized. Don't be delicious. and bite sized! Lesson learned!

Still, that's neither here or there, right now she blinks a little as she tilts her head. "Oh. Alright!" she says. "We'll need to tell them ALL about what we did. Maybe there's some treasure involved." she says. "Or maybe some sort of kudos that could get us better requests than whatever is posted!" she says softly. "Less lost cats, more ... something else!" she says with a series of nods.

There is a bemused grin on the boy's face, "But I thought you like those types of requests regarding lost cats!" He does give a thoughtful look, scratching his head.

As the two continue to walk through the town, they leave the market itself and slowly approach a bridge that hangs over the river.

"... Well, there is always the Pits of Avarice."

Ruidosa La Crima rolls 1d20>=10.

Ruidoas stops and makes a face. "I like kitties. Kitties are cute." she says. When she gets to the bridge, and Reize suggests the pits of avarice. she clenches her hands. She really, really wants to shove him off the bridge. Just...shove. However, he bought her a crab earlier and this fact placates her.

So she relaxes and looks down into the river as she stops.

"You ''really'' need to learn to read the room better, Reize. I don't think you can pay me enough to go back into that place. Considering, you know." she says bluntly.

... Why does Reize get the sense of impending doom looming over him?

He turns his gaze towards Ruidosa, now seeing that she does not appear too happy. ... Woops. And now he's back to 'Reize'. Woops. "R--right, sorry Rui." He gives a sheepish smile, placing a hand to the side of his head. "It has been where the biggest rewards have been as of late."

... Given her stance regarding the place, he decides to not mention that the various requests involved dealing with a squad of plant creatures that festered there as of late.

Ruidosa clenches her hands. "Dammit. I'm really gonna need to go back in there then if I wanna replace my gold then." she huffs and whines. She holds her head in her hands a bit and closes her eyes and looks back up as she sighs and keeps her eyes closed a moment.

"I really dislike that place. Especially since it has plant monsters in it now!?" she says, remembering the date down in it as she grimaces.

"Really. Dislike it." she laments.

Reize gently places a hand on Ruidosa's back. "Maybe we'll get lucky with another area that doesn't involve the place?"
The young explorer decides to grab her hand to pull her along as he muses, "Let's not worry about that now. We'll probably get lucky and get a request that gives a good payout, then you can not have to worry about that place." He grins, "Now, let's just enjoy the peaceful day, Rui."

Roll(s): 1. Total result is 1.

Ruidosa is pulled away from the bridge, which is good enough, as she sighs and just laments.

"Maybe..." she says quietly. Then she smiles.

"Sure, lets!" she says with a more happier smile.
