  It's a warm day. The atmosphere of the jungle remains humid. The surroundings of the village is made of the wooden settlement. The fishing village is one of constant activity amongst the people.

 It had been a few days since the banana thieving incident. The good thing is that Reize was somehow able to avoid being spotted with the bananas. ...That he knows of. It was a good day to take a small break. The break was decided (by Ruidosa) for a nice stroll along the town.

 For this reason, Reize's attire is more mudane. He is not wearing his headband or traveling attire, but a white, rolled-sleeved shirt with a vest in front and some light pants. It'd be best to wear something more town-worthy. Nevertheless, it is important to have a date with his fiancee.

 

Somehow, Reize avoided jail and Madonna had to attend to the aftermath of... that as the attending noble and Ruidosa got to escape her finally and off she went to walk along with Reize in... well she was wearing what she normally did.

She's walking along the village and staying away from the plantation area for now as she gently leans to talk Reize's hand.

"Sorry about all that. I was trying to avoid that." she says dryly. "But everyone did the wrong thing at once." she commiserates.

"I was wishing for a monster attack. I wonder if that's my fault now." she says with a siggggggh.



  Ruidosa's apology is met with a sheepish grin. "It's alright, Rui! We managed to evade the worst of the matter!" He avoided jail time (this time!). He takes her hand as she moves by his side.

 "I thought introducing myself as your fiance was what you wanted!" He gives a sheepish grin. "Well, let's enjoy the sights." With a squeeze of her hand, Reize takes Ruidosa out within a trip across the settlement.

 While the settlement is small, it is filled with vendors selling their wares. Many of them are offering various forms of fruit, some bread, and a few necklaces made of bones and other ornaments. Most of those ornaments would be some type of stone or clay.

 

Ruidosa La Crima sighhhhhhhs hard. "If it gets word back to my grandfather I have a human fiance before I can tell him things are gonna get complicated." she tells him with a sigh. "No matter. Madonna is stuck here thanks to the monkey attack so things should be fine for now."

She stops at one of the stalls and looks at jewelry as she looks over to Reize.

"Grandfater is one of ''those'' vampires." she says dryly. "'Humans are inferior and cattle and blah blah blah'" she says, making a 'talking a lot motion' with her other hand.

"It's kind of offensive really." she says. "Mom raised us different."



 "Oh..." Yeah, so it looks like it was best for Ruidosa to let the word out. Oops. The boy gives a sheepish look of shame. "... Apologies." He grimaces, running a hand over the back of his neck. He does look over towards one of the vendors selling a few jewels. He tilts his head over with a smile, "I'm grateful for Lady La Crim--err, mother, giving you both a different perspective."

  What catches his attention amongst the jewelry is a necklace of beads and bones with a topaz at the center. He gives a thoughtful look, then he picks it out. "Hm..." He holds it out for Ruidosa, "Try this one?"

 

"Mom is good. I know that much. She always taught us humans we're short lived. and need food and water. But otherwise are just... like vampires." she says. She looks back to the items with a sigh as she hums a little, as she then eyes the necklace that Reize picks out for her.

She eyes it and gently runs her hands along the bone work and the beads, before coming to a look at the rough cut topaz at the center. She nods and gently bows her head for Reize to slip it on.A

"Do the honors?~" she asks.



  There is a warm smile when Ruidosa shares the education that Lady La Crima had provided on humans. He gives a thoughtful look. Short lived, huh? He has to wonder about how long things would be with him and Ruidosa. However, the thought leaves when Ruidosa focuses on the necklace.

 That is when Reize brightens.

 He moves closer to Ruidosa, bringing the beaded and bone necklace to her neck. He slowly places it over her head and then makes sure that he secures the necklace around her.

  With a bright smile, Reize beams. "It looks wonderful on you, Rui."

 

Ruidosa leans back up with the necklace on and smiles. "It's lovely." she then pauses and looks to the expectant merchant and looks back to Reize and then to the merchant. Back to Reize. Merchant. Reize. So uh. The polite question is 'who's paying for it' and Ruidosa considers.

Is this a gift? or is Ruidosa buying it for herself? More questions that seem rude to ask out loud.

So Ruidosa considers and goes fishing for her purse in her messenger bag.

Unless Reize stops her or pays first. Is this a pay race!?

 Reize extends a hand out to stop Ruidosa when she reaches into her purse. He got this! He was going to pay this over to her. He slowly turns to face the impatient merchant.

%"I--I wanted her to try it first, really!" He reaches into his satchel to procure a few coins. He then places the coins into the merchant's hand, giving a sheepish look. With a smile, he looks at his partner with a smile.

 "This is a gift for you, Rui." He reaches over for her hand, gently grasping it with a bright smile. He's getting better at giving his partner a date!

 

Ruidosa La Crima is stopped and whews a moment. "It's okay! I just didn't want to assume all the time!" she says with a sheepish smile. She isn't always so proud and boastful as her namesake after all. But she then watches Reize pay the merchant and all is well.

She then wears the necklace for now. Ivo and Daiby can wonder where they got it later.

She whews and retakes Reize's hand and looks over at him. "Sorry." she says. "I didn't mean to embarass you." she says as she starts walking away. "If I did." she says as she sighs a little.



 Reize gives a small chuckle at Ruidosa's embarassment. "No! It's alright, Rui." He reassures her with a firm squeeze of her hand. He then brings her over closer, just so that she can lean closer to him as he gives a bit of a warm embrace. After all, it is just the two of them now.

 As he walks ahead, he continues to guide her out towards the docks where they first arrived.

 The two are treated to the sight of the fishermen throwing nets out to catch the nearby fish while some further out moor their way back into the docks.

 "Just want you to be able to enjoy the day. It's not too often that we have some downtime."

 

They arrive at the docks and Ruidosa looks into the murky water of the river. A snake swims past, eats a fish, swims off. Nom. She giggles at this as she looks back up and looks over to Reize. "Snakes and the like are pretty to my people. It's why we live in the jungle area here... and why we basically live in a swamp, the jungle of the plains!" she insists.

"Also the mansion already there helped. But you know why that exists already." she says softly.

"I am enjoyng the day, thank you." she says as she squeezes Reize's hand. "After all...that earlier. I still have a slight headache from dealing with my... older..." ugh. "Sister. But. It'll pass." she says.
